'Brahmotsavam' is disastrous film and nightmare that every fan and audience of 'Superstar' Mahesh Babu wants to forget. The Mahesh Babu disaster, which released in 2016, has reportedly enticed the heart and soul of Kollywood director Cheran. Known for offbeat films, Cheran is said to have loved the Srikanth Addala family entertainer (way too much). He would like to remake it in Tamil with his own sensibilities. The film miserably failed at the box-office and panned by critics and audience, calling the film a daily soap that was shown on a big screen with Mahesh in it.

Well, after a long time, the film name as resurfaced again. If reports are to be believed, Kollywood director Cheran is bowled over by the movie and intends on remaking a version for the Tamil audience. Tamil director and actor Cheran said that he has decided to remake this film while speaking in an interview. Cheran said that he liked 'Brahmostavam' very much and felt it is a very emotional family entertainer and the subject would suit Tamil nativity quite well.
Sensibilities matter. Story-telling skills matter. Also, the star cast matters. Perhaps, 'Brahmotsavam' might have fared decently had it been made with a medium-range or small-range hero? We wonder who will play the roles of Mahesh Babu, Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal? What do you think? Comment below and let us know your thoughts.
