Automaker Mahindra's popular car Marazzo is going to receive an automatic gearbox option with its diesel powertrain soon. A homologation document for the automatic version of the MPV revealed the information about the car.
As per the document, The car to come with a 6-speed AMT automatic gearbox. Powering the MPV will be the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 123hp and 300Nm, as in the current model. The car will offer the automatic gearbox option with all three trims of the MPV – M2, M4+ and M6+. It is also worth mentioning that Mahindra is also developing a petrol engine for the Marazzo.
The Marazzo also include features like dual airbags, ABS, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, 16-inch steel wheels, power windows and rear air-con vents, to name a few. The top-spec M6+ gets 17-inch alloys, a rear parking camera, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted controls and automatic climate control, among others.
As far as price is concerned, in terms of pricing, expect the automatic version of the Mahindra Marazzo to cost around Rs 40,000-50,000 more than its manual counterpart.
