In the Indian market, the Mahindra Scorpio N has had tremendous growth. The SUV has a two-year waiting list, according to the company. The "Big Daddy of SUVs" was introduced by Mahindra in July.

The Scorpio, which has a cult following of its own, stuck to its principles and quickly rose to the top of the list of best-selling SUVs. According to accounts, the first 25,000 reservations were made in less than a minute. In less than an hour, the number of bookings exceeded one million. The Mahindra Scorpio has surpassed its production sibling, the Mahindra XUV700, to become the SUV with the longest waiting list in the nation.

The Mahindra Scorpio N's Z6 and Z8 trims, according to Rushlane, have the longest waiting periods, at a total of eight weeks. The waiting period is between 100 and 105 weeks for these two trims or about two years.

The Z8L, the SUV's top-end model, has the shortest waiting period of all, at 85–90 weeks. There is a 90–95 week waiting period for the Scorpio's Z2 and Z4 trims. The difference is startling when compared to the waiting time for the XUV700. The longest possible wait time for XUV700 trims is 15 months, and 16 months for AX7 and AX7 L.

The Scorpio N won't be available to the majority of SUV purchasers until September 2024. In November, those who were able to reserve a car among the first 25,000 units will get their vehicle. On September 26, the first day of Navratri, the first 25,000 units will start to be delivered. The top-tier Z8L model has been selected by the majority of customers in the first 25,000 bookings. Due to the relative higher demand, the top-end trim is given the most priority.
