NEW DELHI: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday presented the Economic Survey 2018-19 before the General Budget. The Economic Survey expects oil prices to come down in 2019-20. The Economic Survey also expects better growth in FY 2019-20. The highlights of this economic survey are:

1. Growth expected to be better in FY 19-20.
2. GDP growth likely to be 7% in FY 19-20
3. Investment likely to increase in FY 19-20.
4. Crude oil prices likely to fall
5. Rural development picked up momentum since 2018 and expected to move forward
6. Increased demand will boost investment.
7. Average GDP growth rate of 7.5% in the last 5 years
8. Oil prices shortage will boost oil consumption
9. Global trade tensions will have an impact on exports
10. Need to maintain GDP growth rate of 8% by financial year 2025
11. Target to become a $5 million economy by fiscal 2025
