It is said that the first ray of the sun at the Sun Temple on Makar Sankranti falls on the statue of Lord Sun through the dome of the temple. Every year, on Makar Sankranti, the temple takes a crowd of people from 3 o'clock in the morning. Pandit Lokesh Jagirdar of the temple said, "Makar Sankranti is a festival of receiving the sun. Navagrah Temple is sun-head. There are other planets around the statue. In addition, it is also recognised that the sun is worshipped on Makar Sankranti and Navagrah is pleased. For the year, we get the fruit of peace. According to the principles of ancient astrology, the temple has been composed. '

There are 7 staircases while entering the temple which is considered to be a symbol of seven blows. However, Brahma is the philosophy of Maa Saraswati, Sriram and Panchmukhi Mahadev as Vishnu Swarup. Then go to the sanctum where 12 stairs have to descend which symbolize 12 months. They say that in this way, seven-wise, 12 months, 12 zodiac signs and Navagrah run our lives in between them and the temple has been created on that basis.
