New Delhi: The corona vaccination campaign is going to start from January 16 in the country. Meanwhile, the consignment of vaccine is continuing to reach different parts of the country. 1 crore 65 lakh corona vaccine will reach cold chain for about 3,000 centres across the country today. The Bharat Biotech vaccine has also reached several cities including Delhi after the Serum Institute.

According to Bharat Biotech, the consignment of the vaccine has been sent to Ganavaram, Guwahati, Patna, Delhi, Kuruntra, Bengaluru, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Chennai and Lucknow. Bharat Biotech also entered into an agreement with Brazilian company Presisa Medicamentos for vaccine supply across the country on Wednesday. Bharat Biotech, a pharmaceutical company that makes indigenous corona vaccine, said it has successfully reached 'Covaxin' in 11 cities of the country.

The company said that it has donated 16.5 lakh doses of Covaxin to the government. Bharat Biotech said in a statement, "the company has sent the first consignment after receiving a government order of 55 lakh doses. It has 20 doses in each vial. The process of corona-in-the-country is going to start from 16th January." Due to which the vaccination of Polio has been stopped on 17th January.
