Kolkata: In West Bengal, the death of four people in firing in Behar district during the fourth phase of polling has now begun. In Behar, violent clashes broke out on Saturday killing four locals. According to media reports, four people were killed when CRPF allegedly opened fire after being attacked by locals.

It is alleged that the locals had tried to snatch the rifles of the CRPF soldiers. Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has also blamed CRPF for the deaths of people. A senior police official said the incident took place in Sitalkuchi when polling was going on. According to media reports, Mamata Banerjee has hit out at the BJP over the incident. Mamata Banerjee said, CPRF has killed voters in the queue, where do they get so much audacity? The BJP knows that they are losing, so they are killing voters and workers.

She further said, "CRPF today shot dead 4 people in Sitalkuchi (Cooch Behar). There was another death in the morning. CRPF is not my enemy, but under the orders of the Home Minister, a conspiracy is going on and today's incident is a proof.'' TMC claimed that the four killed were their supporters.
