Kolkata: Even though the dates of the assembly elections in West Bengal have not been decided yet, the political temperature in the state has started to rise. Swords have been drawn in TMC and BJP since Amit Shah's tour of Bengal. Both have a series of sharp statements. Now West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has hit back at Home Minister Amit Shah on the second day.

In the press conference, Mamata said that during the visit to Bengal, Home Minister Amit Shah presented the wrong picture of the state. On the allegations of political violence, Mamata Banerjee has said that there has been a decrease in political violence in the state while suicide is also termed as a political murder. He told that the fight between husband and wife also gives a political colour. Attacking the Center on the issue of law and order, Mamata Banerjee said that the BJP talks a lot about the law and order of Bengal, but Bengal has got the record of the safest city.

CM Mamata Banerjee said that West Bengal was outperforming the Centre's data on many parameters. Bengal topped in rural housing, rural roads, e-tendering and e-governance in providing 100 days of work. He said that the GDP of Bengal has increased 2.6 times during his tenure and one crore jobs have been created.
