Kolkata: After the announcement of the election program in West Bengal, the state CM Mamata Banerjee has raised questions on the Election Commission while giving press talks. After the announcement made by the Election Commission, CM Mamata questioned his intention and asked if he had announced these dates according to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata said that this time there will be 8 phases of voting in West Bengal. This has happened at the behest of the BJP. He said that only Bengalis would rule Bengal, no outsiders would be allowed to enter. Mamata Banerjee further said, "Have the dates been announced on the direction of the Center? Why are the districts divided into 2 parts? We urge that is just a waste of money and to be stopped. We are grassroots leaders and are aware of the problem of the locals.”

Mamata Banerjee said that "The government first broke the people in the name of religion and now it is breaking for elections, they have not just broken the elections in 8 phases, but have also divided each phase into parts." Targeting PM Narendra Modi, he said, "PM don't misuse your power. This will not benefit the BJP. The people of Bengal will respond to the BJP. The BJP is dividing the public into Hindu Muslims."
