Mamta Banerjee has told the government that, 'You will not be able to do this in Bengal'. Actually, Banerjee on Thursday took out a protest march against the National Civil Registration (NRC) issued in Assam. Along with veteran party leaders and hundreds of activists, Mamata went out on the road and led the protest march.

State Coordinator of NRC Prateek Hazarika has said that a total of 3,11,21,004 people have managed to make it to the list. He said that 19,06,657 people have been excluded from the final list of NRC. In fact, when the NRC draft was published, 40.7 lakh people were excluded from it, which created quite a ruckus.
