In a terrible event, an Odia man beheaded his wife on Thursday and carried her severed head to his village, police said.

Chandra Sekhar Karjee is the accused person, while Urmila Karjee is the deceased. The couple went to work in their agricultural field in Sara village in the morning, the police said.

It was said that Chandra Sekhar lost his cool and used a sharp axe to behead Urmila after the pair got into an argument. However, the precise motive for the murder has not yet been determined.
