PATNA: Two robbers attacked a man and his wife inside their home in Patna, killing him and gravely injuring his wife, according to an official. In the early hours of Monday, the event occurred in the Karbala locality, which is under the jurisdiction of the Phulwarisharif police station.
During the robbery attempt, the criminals repeatedly banged a pressure cooker on the head of Mohammad Jafruddin (35) until he died. They also assaulted Shahnaz Parveen, his wife.
Jaffaruddin worked for a private firm in New Delhi as an engineer. On Sunday morning, he returned home with his wife and two children to celebrate EID.
"The burglars broke into the house while we were sleeping. My spouse awoke during the heist and spotted two individuals inside the house. He quickly protested their actions, which resulted in a brawl. He was overpowered by the criminals, who smashed a pressure cooker on his head "Parveen said.
"I tried to save him but was unsuccessful since the pressure cooker was shattered on my head as well. They repeatedly smashed the stove on my husband's head until he fainted on the floor, resulting in his death "she said. She added, "The accused also removed my gold chain and other valuables from the house."
Phulwarisharif's SHO, Ekrar Ahmed, said: "We went to the location and discovered the deceased. We've also found the pressure cooker that was used in the crime. The accused are being identified, and we will nab them very soon."
