Varanasi: The GRP police in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj have arrested a man who used to collect money from passengers in the name of cutting tickets by becoming a TTE in trains. A fake receipt has also been recovered from the possession of this fake TTE, which was caught by the GRP police. Now, the railways and grp police are jointly interrogating the fake TTE in custody. It is also trying to find out whether it used to carry out this work alone or whether its other associates are involved in this work.

According to the information, everyone was cheated by the sight of the fake TTE's attire. He would first charge people money in the name of cutting tickets and then get off the train at a station. Later, when the real TTE came in the train, people would tell them that someone else had given them a ticket by taking money from them. When complaints of this fake TTE started being received continuously, the police were alerted. The railway board team contacted grp prayagraj over the matter and laid a siege in the train on Sunday and nabbed him. The GRP cordoned off this fake TTE in civil dress to nab it.

In fact, the GRP police arrived when the fake TTE was making a recovery in the train from Varanasi to Okha. They arrested him with Rs 15,500, a phone, a fake receipt book and a fake ID card. The arrested fake TTE has been identified as Kamla Pal and she is a resident of Nandganj Ghazipur. According to GRP inspector Rammohan Roy, the arrested fake TTE used to collect money by wearing genuine dress and throwing a dig at passengers.
