Mumbai: A man from Maharashtra's Aurangabad had to order food from restaurants online. Yes, he was duped in this situation. During the order, the guy was reportedly charged Rs 89,000. Police, on the other hand, have filed a report and begun an investigation after receiving a complaint.

September is supposed to be the month in question. In reality, Babasaheb Thombre of Aurangabad's Naregaon noticed a social media advertising for food relaxation. The advertisement advertised a complimentary plate from a large restaurant in the city. Following this, Babasaheb placed an order using his father's credit card. Babasaheb was then asked for a password, and Rs 89,000 was debited from his father's account. On the other hand, the restaurant's proprietor said that multiple incidences of cheating in his name had been recorded in the previous year.

At the same time, the restaurant filed a cyber-crime report, despite the fact that incidences of cheating continue. In this situation, Babasaheb has also filed a complaint with the police. A case has been filed at the Aurangabad MIDC police station under Section 420 (Cheating) and IT Act of the IPC based on their accusation, and an investigation is underway.
