In another horrific incident, a man killed his girlfriend who was pressurizing him to marry her. The incident comes to light from Tamil Nadu’s Tirupur district. As per the information, a 22-year-old youth killed his 19-year-old girlfriend by hitting her on the head with a stone. After brutally killing her he sets her on fire.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening for allegedly forcing him to marry. The victim died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the district on Thursday. The victim has been identified as Pooja, a resident of Rayarpalayam near Palladam in Tirupur district. She was working in an undergarment company in Palladam.
The accused has been identified as the accused G Lokesh of Rayarpalayam has been arrested by the Palladam police in connection with the murder. According to police, Pooja lost her parents when she was seven years old. Then, her family lived in Mumbai. Following her parents' death, she moved to her uncle’s house in Palladam. She fell in love with Lokesh, who was also working with her.
The accused started avoiding her due to the difference of opinions. The victim often contacted Lokesh over the phone and asked him to marry her. Pooja contacted Lokesh over the phone and asked him to meet her at Appan Kadu. Lokesh, who had reached the spot with a bottle of petrol, soon started arguing with Pooja. Lokesh beat her with his belt and hit her on the head with a stone. He then set her on fire. The victim, in her dying declaration, revealed the incident with her to the police on Wednesday evening.
