New Delhi: Senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa announced that Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and party General Secretary Vinod Tawade will be arriving in Bangalore as central observers for the selection of the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the state assembly. 

Yediyurappa informed reporters late on Sunday night, "The central party leaders have informed me of their intent to dispatch two central observers, Vinod Tawade and Mansukh Mandaviya, to Bangalore to oversee the election of the LoP." 
He further added that the duo will gather feedback from all the Karnataka BJP legislators and present a comprehensive report to the central leadership. Yediyurappa stated, "Following this, the central leadership will make a decision regarding the appointment of the LoP in the state assembly." 

Additionally, the central observers will seek the input of the Karnataka party legislators regarding the selection of the Karnataka BJP President, as mentioned by Yediyurappa. 

The former Chief Minister of Karnataka was recently in New Delhi, where he held discussions with National BJP President JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, focusing on various state matters, including the appointment of the LoP and the state BJP president's position. He expressed, "If necessary, Amit Shah will summon me to New Delhi once again. They will consider the prevailing political circumstances in the state and arrive at a decision."
