Lucknow: BJP's Lok Sabha MP Maneka Gandhi has questioned her nephew and MP from Kerala's Wayanad Lok Sabha seat on the death of a pregnant elephant in Mallapuram district of Kerala. Maneka Gandhi has questioned her nephew Rahul for the first time and asked why no action was taken on the incident.
Maneka Gandhi said that Rahul had chosen Wayanad himself and won. Now when he has chosen instead of fixing the whole country, he should focus on his area first. Maneka Gandhi said that Rahul Gandhi comes from the same area, but why no action has been taken against those responsible for the elephant's death so far. Maneka Gandhi tweeted about the incident and said, 'This is murder. Mallapuram is known for such incidents. It is the most violent district in the country. People here spew venom on the streets, causing 300 to 400 birds and dogs to die. Violence occurs here, but the government of Kerala is unable to do anything. It seems that they are scared. The number of elephants in India is continuously decreasing anyway. Now their number has reduced to less than 20,000."
Rahul Gandhi is an MP from Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. The three assembly constituencies in the Mallapuram district in which this incident took place fall under Wayanad Lok Sabha.
