Chandigarh: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suffered a major setback in the Haryana Assembly elections, but still the party has emerged as the largest party in the state. Meanwhile, sources have been quoted quoting sources that the outgoing CM of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar can stake claim to form the government. Manohar Lal Khattar has sought an appointment with Governor Satyavrat Narayan Arya at 6 pm.

According to the latest update, out of the total 90 seats in the state, BJP has emerged as the largest party with 40 seats. At the same time, the Congress surprised all by winning 30 seats, while the Jananayak Janata Party (JJP) has got 10 seats. Others have captured 10 seats. A total of 10 seats have come forward in the role of JJP Kingmaker.

On the question of which party the JJP will support, JJP leader Dushyant Chautala has said that his phone is in the car and no talks have been held so far. Chautala said that there is a party meeting in Delhi tomorrow, after which everything will be done. Chautala said that 'Haryana's people have rejected those talking beyond 75 and the Congress has got a befitting reply to its overconfidence.'
