Manoj is the BJP MP from North East Delhi, who made his incomparable contribution to the Bhojpuri film industry as an actor. Manoj Tiwari was born in the year 1973 in Kabir Chaura, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Tiwari is one of the six children of Chandradev Tiwari and Lalita Devi. Coming from Atarwalia, a remote village in Bihar's Kaimur district, Tiwari holds an MPEd degree from Varanasi’s Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

Manoj Tiwari's father was a farmer and his mother a housewife. His childhood passed in poverty and after the death of the father, his life became very difficult. Manoj Tiwari himself said that he did not even have the money to buy a bicycle and he felt bad when he saw other children riding bicycles. 

Manoj Tiwari started his career as a singer. After being a singer for 10 years, he made his acting debut in the year 2003 with the Bhojpuri film 'Sasura Bada Paise Wala'. This film was a blockbuster. Sasura Bada Paise Wala proved to be a big turning point for Bhojpuri cinema. After this he has featured in various Big hits films that he got recognition in all over India. Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan were the highest-grossing actors of the Bhojpuri film industry. There Jodi became very famous. On political front, In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Tiwari defeated Sheila Dikshit, a Congress veteran and former Delhi chief minister, from the North East Delhi constituency by 363,000 votes.
