New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday took to the streets to protest against the Delhi Kejriwal government's decision to ban Chhath Puja celebrations in public places. Hundreds of BJP workers including BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, Delhi BJP unit president Adesh Gupta walked towards Chief Minister Kejriwal's residence.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police had put up barricades at places to stop the protesters. But bjp workers broke it. The police had to use even water cannons to stop them. Meanwhile, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari sustained injuries. After which he has been admitted to Safdar Jung Hospital for treatment. No statement has been issued by the doctor at the moment. They are being treated.

In fact, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in an order last week banned chhath puja celebrations in public places, including river banks, reservoirs and temples, in view of the Covid-19 situation. BJP workers have opposed the Kejriwal government's decision and demanded permission for Chhath Puja at public places. Tell us that on Monday, Aadesh Gupta had announced that the festival would be celebrated in a grand manner and the party-ruled municipal corporation would manage it.
