On Tuesday morning, Ledo Police Outpost in charge Jyotish Phukan and Margherita Childline Sub Centre rescued three minors from Ledo 6 Number line in Margherita district after receiving a tip.

"We got information that one woman from Lekhapani area under Margherita region is engaged in child trafficking to other areas of the State and nation," Rupam Das, coordinator and Nisha Das, team member of Margherita Child Line Sub Centre, stated. Three children were rescued from the Ledo 6 Number line with the help of Jyotish Phukan of the Ledo police outpost while they were ready to be transported to Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh.

According to Papu Sah, head of the Margherita Children Friends Club (NGO), "The existence of a child trafficking gang in the 124 Margherita Number Constituency is really regrettable. The Margherita Police Department and the Margherita Administration (Civil) should take immediate action to arrest all those involved in the child trafficking case." Until the writing of this report, the victim's parents filed a FIR at the Margherita Police Station.
