Dumka: An incident of assault of a loving couple has come to light in Jharkhand's Dumka district. It is being said that people had caught the couple in an objectionable position. Then all of them beat both of them so badly that the girlfriend's eye was swollen and her clothes were inadequately torn. The incident took place in the Shikaripara police station area. The persons present on the occasion made a video of the incident and made it viral on social media.

Both Boyfriend and girlfriend are married. The girlfriend has two and the boyfriend has 3 children. People allege that as soon as the girlfriend's husband went out of the house, after some time the lover quietly entered her house. This trend had been going on continuously for a long time. But as soon as villagers got the opportunity, they caught both of them red-handed and thrashed both of them.

Both of them were rotated throughout the village with drums. On receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot and released the couple and sent both of them to the hospital for treatment. At the same time, the villagers are now talking about resolving this matter at the panchayat and at their own level. The police have made it clear that strict action will be taken against the culprits on receipt of the complaint. On this matter, DIG says that they are not aware of the case.
