Lucknow: An incident of love jihad has been reported from the Para police station area of Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow. Here a man named Salman drove away a minor Hindu girl from Lucknow and took her to Haryana. The girl's family lodged a case at the police station, after which the police team traced the boy on the basis of mobile location and arrested him from a Chawl in Haryana. The minor girl was also recovered and handed over to her family members.

According to the news, the minor girl, a resident of Bajrang Vihar in the Para area, became friends with a girl named Roshni, who lives nearby. Roshni befriended her with Salman. Meanwhile, the boy threatened the minor girl and took her with him to Haryana. The minor girl's family members said that Salman had befriended the girl by giving her a wrong name. He then threatened her and took her to Haryana. The police, with the help of a surveillance team, arrested the culprit from a Chawl in Haryana.

On the other hand, the minor told the police that Salman first befriended her. Later, he lured and asked to go with him. The minor said that at first, she agreed to walk. But later she refused to go, after that, the boy told her that he would kill her if she did not go with him. The girl said the culprit was threatening her. Out of fear she agreed to go with him. He then took her to Haryana and locked her in a room. Later, he started pressurising her to marry him. The minor further said that she had refused to marry Salman. Yet he continued to threaten her. He said that if he did not marry, he would bury her alive here. ADCP West Zone Chiranjeevi Nath Sinha said that the culprit has been arrested at the moment. He is being interrogated. Also, the minor girl has also been handed over to the family. Further action is underway.
