Akola: Thirty stray dogs have been poisoned in the last 5 days in Akola, Maharashtra. 24 of these dogs have died due to poisoning. The remaining six dogs are being treated. The condition of some of them is very serious. Reports of these incidents have been lodged in two police stations by the Animal Social Organization. The police are also finding out who is killing the dogs by poisoning them. 

Ever since the cases of poisoning and killing of dogs came to the fore, the Animal Social Organization of Akola is searching for and rescuing such dogs, which have been poisoned or whose condition is very bad. The team is conducting rescue operations in every street and locality of Akola. Kajal Raut, a member of the Animal Social Organization, said that for many days stray dogs are being killed by mixing poison in their food. We have received many such complaints. In the last 3-4 days, complaints of poisoning and killing have piled up. Thirty cases of poisoning of dogs have been reported so far in some areas of the city.

Kajal further says that 24 of these dogs have lost their lives. He is buried on the side of the institution. At the same time, 6 dogs are being treated at our center. The condition of some of them also remains critical. Our team is running a rescue operation for dogs in Akola. Kajal said that a case has been registered in two police stations on behalf of the organization in the case of poisoning and killing dogs. At present, the police have registered a case against the unknown. Along with the police, we are also engaged in the investigation of the matter.
