Hyderabad: 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a clash with Chinese soldiers in the Galvan Valley. Among those who were martyred, Colonel Santosh Babu of Telangana was also named. After this, the Chandrasekhar Rao government of Telangana appointed Santoshi, the wife of martyr Colonel Santosh Babu, as deputy collector. On August 15, Santoshi submitted his joining report to Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar as Deputy Collector.
Santoshi has been made deputy collector in the revenue department. This is her first deployment. CM of Telangana Chandrasekhar Rao, knowing his house himself, had handed over appointment letters to Santoshi. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had instructed the officials that Santoshi should be posted only in Hyderabad or nearby areas. During this, CM KCR also had lunch with Colonel Babu's family.
Colonel Santosh Babu's wife Santoshi lives in Delhi with her 8-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son. Santoshi's mother lives in Hyderabad. On the martyrdom of Colonel Santosh Babu, the Telangana government had announced an honor amount of Rs 5 crore to his family. Apart from this, CM KCR also handed over the documents of land of 711 yards to Santoshi in Banjara Hills of Hyderabad. KCR provided a check of Rs 4 crore to Santoshi and Rs 1 crore to Colonel Santosh's parents. Apart from this, she said that if she feels the need for something, then she can contact the CM directly.
