Maruti Suzuki India, the country's largest carmaker, has announced that starting next month, it would raise prices across all of its models due to increased input costs.

"In response to our previous messages regarding price increases, we would like to notify you that the cost of the Company's cars has continued to be negatively impacted over the last year as a result of increases in different input prices. As a result, it has become necessary to pass on part of the increased cost to customers in the form of a price increase " said Maruti in a regulatory filing.

The Auto major added that the price rise has been planned across models in September 2021. Earlier in the calendar year 2021, the automobile major had increased prices in January, April, and July for only the hatchback Swift and all CNG variants. The company had earlier raised prices for different car models in July for only the hatchback Swift and all CNG variants. The increase in ex-showroom prices (Delhi) at that time was up to Rs 15,000.
