New Delhi:It's rumoured that Apple will equip the iPhone SE 4 with a 6.1-inch LCD display. According to recent rumours, the Cupertino company may be aiming for a 2023 or 2024 release for this device.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo now asserts that Apple might decide to postpone mass production of the iPhone SE 4 until 2024 or cancel it altogether.

The decrease in demand for mid-range and entry-level iPhone models like the iPhone SE (2022) and iPhone 14 Plus may have prompted the company to consider taking this action.

Apple is likely to "cancel or postpone the mass production plan for the 2024 iPhone SE 4," according to Kuo, who makes this claim in a series of tweets. According to reports, there hasn't been as much of a demand for mid-range to entry-level iPhone models like the iPhone SE (2022), iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 13 mini.

There have been rumours that the iPhone SE 4 will look like the iPhone XR and have a 6.1-inch LCD display. In addition, there might be a notch and slim bezels as opposed to the previous iPhone SE models' thick bezels.

According to the analyst, the cost may rise as a result of the larger screen. Because of this, Apple might have to reevaluate where it places this phone in its lineup.

According to recent reports, strict COVID-19 lockdown measures implemented at the company's largest manufacturing plant in Zhengzhou, China, have caused supply issues for Apple's iPhone 14 Pro models. But according to reports, demand for the Pro models has been rising while interest in the iPhone 14 Plus has been muted.

Kuo asserts that the iPhone SE 4's cancellation or delay may not be due solely to the decline in demand for less expensive iPhone models. To deal with the difficulties brought on by the global economic recession in 2023, Apple might also be attempting to halt the development of unneeded new products.
