New Delhi: In a concerning development, a recent report from cybersecurity firm Check Point Research has revealed that more than 100,000 ChatGPT accounts have fallen victim to a large-scale hacking operation. Alarmingly, India and Pakistan have been identified as the two nations most impacted by this breach.
The hackers successfully exploited a vulnerability within the ChatGPT software, granting them unauthorized access to user accounts without the need for a password. Once inside, they proceeded to extract sensitive personal information, including passwords, email addresses, and phone numbers.
Given the severity of this breach, Check Point Research urgently advises all ChatGPT users to change their passwords immediately and exercise caution when sharing any information online.
