Dreams do come true! Your hard work brings you the success you deserve no matter where you have come from. Your work pays you off in it's best way. Such is the journey of Maulik Thummar, a B.Tech mechanical engineering student who topped the overall exam.

He is a true example of today's generation. He with his hardship has received five gold medals from the Education Minister in the 18th virtual convocation held by Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology on December 18. Maulik, a son of class 8 pass-out diamond factory worker whose monthly income ranges between Rs 10k to 15k got the top rank in several graduate programs offered by the Institute. He secured 13000 ranks in JEE Main Exam 2016. He then took admission in SVNIT. Now, he would be starting his first job on an annual package of Rs 6.5 lakh. The chief guest of the event the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank distributed the degrees virtually to the students. 

 

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology in the 18th convocation offered degrees to 1180 students out of which 720 were B.Tech students, 262 M.Tech, 87 PhD students. A total of 26 students were awarded Gold Medals.
