Try this dish filled with lots of sweetness and mouth-watering ingredients. The dish is made by using mawa or khoya, heavy cream, yoghurt, all-purpose flour, powdered almonds, butter, egg yolks, caster sugar, and gulkand; this cake recipe is a perfect fusion of Indian and Continental flavours. Ingredients of Mawa Cake
500 gm butter
215 gm egg yolk
450 gm all purpose flour
salt as required
250 gm khoya
215 gm yoghurt (curd)
5 gm baking powder
20 gm dry rose petals
600 gm caster sugar
5 gm powdered green cardamom
250 gm powdered almonds
10 ml vanilla essence
215 gm heavy cream
5 gm baking soda
100 gm gulkand
How to make Mawa Cake
Step 1
Take a large bowl and sift together all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, almond powder, cardamom powder, caster sugar in it. Next, in another bowl mix together heavy cream, rose petals, butter, vanilla essence, gulkand, and yoghurt.
Step 2
Take a deep-bottomed bowl and mix together the contents of both bowls for 2-3 minutes until all the ingredients are mixed well. Now, add egg yolks in the prepared yoghurt-flour mixture, and beat well using an electric beater till peaks form.
Step 3
Finally, add khoya in the bowl and mix once again using a spoon, the cake mix is ready now. Fill the prepared cake mix in cake mould and bake at 170 degree Celsius for 25-30 minutes.
Step 4
Cover with rolled marzipan and garnish with seasonal fruits and serve warm.
