Amritsar: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has also stepped up its preparations for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024. The BSP has decided that the next Punjab Lok Sabha elections will be fought in alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). BSP supremo Mayawati herself has given information in this regard by tweeting. He said that the discussion about the alliance is going on. The BSP already has a mass base in Punjab and the alliance with the Akali Dal will accumulate more strength.

Let us tell you that earlier in 2022, in the Punjab assembly elections also, BSP allied with SAD. In the elections, BSP fielded candidates on 20 seats. While the Shiromani Akali Dal contested the other 97 seats. The SAD alliance got 3 seats in this election. However, the BSP had to be satisfied with just one seat. Now as soon as the Lok Sabha elections come closer, the BSP has started its preparations.

BSP supremo and former CM Mayawati has informed about the talks with Sukhbir Badal regarding the alliance. Also wished for the health of Prakash Singh Badal. In a tweet, Mayawati wrote, 'In the meeting of Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal and the top leadership of Bahujan Samaj Party in Delhi today, in connection with the strengthening of the old mutual alliance and better coordination, etc. in the next Lok Sabha general elections in Punjab. Beneficial talks have taken place on further strategy in a cordial environment.'
