Lucknow: Even after all the protests, the Modi government at the Centre has passed the Farmers' Bills in the Lok Sabha. The opposition and several allies are opposing it. Meanwhile, BSP supremo Mayawati has also expressed strong opposition to the bill. Mayawati said that the government should know what the farmers want.

In a tweet, Mayawati wrote, "Two bills relating to farmers in Parliament, without removing all their doubts, have been passed yesterday. BSP strongly disagree. What does the farmer of the entire country want? It would be better if the central government should pay attention to this".  Congress leader and former Union Minister P Chidambaram also opposed the bills and said that the passage of the bill from the Lok Sabha reflects the distance between the farmer and the government. Now, these bills will increase the problems of farmers as it is against MSP and PDS.

Shiromani Akali Dal (Shiad) leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal has resigned from the Modi government on Thursday in protest against the same bill, which has also been approved by President Ram Nath Kovind. She says the bill is anti-farmer and she can't remain in the government that is passing it.
