Lucknow: BSP supremo Mayawati will hold zone-wise meetings from today (July 2). As per the information, these meetings will give necessary guidelines on review of the work relating to the formation of brotherhood committees and preparations for by-elections. On the first day of the zone-wise review meeting, Mayawati will review Bareilly, Chitrakoot, Kanpur, Jhansi, Meerut, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Agra and Aligarh divisions.

Through these meetings, Mayawati will review the formation of fraternity committees at the assembly and sector level in view of the by-elections as well as the assembly general elections. The meeting is scheduled to discuss political damage sine after the Uttar Pradesh government included 17 castes in the Scheduled Castes. The Lucknow division will be reviewed on July 6.

Similarly, responsible officials of other sectors and divisions are being separately informed about the meeting. On Monday (July 1), the party chief had targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in front of the media. Mayawati had accused the BJP of defrauding 17 castes. He had said that the decision was taken to take advantage of the UP by-election. By-elections are proposed in 12 UP seats.
