One of the renowed actors in Tamil Cinema in Mayilsamy passes away in Chennai early on Sunday. He suffered a heart attack in the small hours of Sunday. He became famous as a Politician. He is 57 years old. He has acted in comedy and character roles in numerous Tamil films.
As soon as the news caught the eyes of people they started expressing their shock in the industry. The entire film fraternity is in shock due to his sudden demise and condolence messages have been pouring in since morning. On the career front, Mayilsamy made his acting debut with veteran filmmaker-actor K Bhagyaraj. He has featured in the films Dhool, Vaseegara, Ghilli, Giri, Uthamaputhiran, Veeram, Kanchana, and Kangalal Kaidhu Sei, for which he won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Comedian. He was also an acclaimed stage performer, stand-up comedian, TV host, and theatre artist. He was also a regular guest judge on Asathapovathu Yaaru on Sun TV in Chennai. He was most recently seen in films like Nenjuku Needhi, Veetla Vishesham and The Legend.
