Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar in this year's Independence Day speech specifically mentioned that more than 15 lakh migrants were taken care of in the Quarantine Centers of the state who returned to their homes amid lockdown. CM did not forget to say that after returning, every migrant has been given Rs 5,300 as an aid. Nitish Kumar said that the state government sent Rs 1,000-1,000 directly to the bank account of all 21 lakh people of Bihar trapped in different parts of the country amid the lockdown.

CM Soren appealed to the people, said - 'Take care of health and use a mask'

Incidentally, a few months ago, when the lockdown began across the country, Kumar was against the acceptance of migrants. On 15 August, he was seen in the first few excerpts of his speech mentioning the assistance given by his government to the migrants. The change in the tone of the CM of the state moving towards elections is clearly visible. This in itself shows the importance of the migrant vote.

7379 new cases of coronavirus reported in France in 24 hours

According to the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan (GKRA) portal, 23.6 lakh migrants have returned home in Bihar during the Covid-19 epidemic. This figure is more than the figure of migrants returned to any state. This figure is more than 6 percent of the total votes cast by this class in the 2015 assembly elections. The data for 16 of the 38 districts of Bihar is said to be that more than 5 percent of the working men population belongs to inter-state migrants. A large amount of them have returned to their original places. There is a possibility of assembly elections in Bihar in October-November. In such a situation, CM Kumar is very cautious about the concerns of the migrants. In these 16 districts, 123 seats are coming out of the total 243 assembly seats in the state. According to media reports, among the migrants, there seems to be resentment about Kumar. This is probably due to the problem they faced in lockdown during the epidemic.
