Bhopal: A shocking incident is coming to the fore from Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Here, a female doctor doing post-graduation in Pediatrics from Government Gandhi Medical College, Akanksha Maheshwari committed suicide by injecting herself unconscious in the hostel. Police have given this news on Thursday. According to the police, Akanksha's body was recovered from her room in the hostel of Gandhi Medical College, Hamidia Hospital, on Wednesday evening.
Vijay Sisodia, in-charge of Kohefija police station, said that Akanksha committed suicide by injecting 4 injections of 2.5 ml each of anesthesia. He said that the police have received empty medicine bottles and syringes from the spot. He told that Akanksha was a first-year student of the PG course in Pediatrics at Gandhi Medical College, Hamidia. He told that Akanksha was a resident of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh and had come to the institute a month ago to do PG.
Police have received a suicide note from the spot, in which she has written that she is not mentally strong and is not able to tolerate stress. She has cited personal reasons and has apologized to her parents for taking this step. On Wednesday, Akanksha also called her family members at around seven in the morning. Sisodia said other students living in the hostel told the police that the door of Akanksha's room was locked since Wednesday morning. When her fellow students reached the hostel in the evening, they informed the security guard when the door was closed. The guard informed the hospital management. Sisodia told that after receiving the news, the police reached the spot, opened the door of her room, and found her dead. The police are probing the matter in detail.
