New Delhi: The Covid-19 vaccination campaign is going to start in the country on January 16. The vaccine will be delivered in 20 cities today, which was delivered to 13 cities in the country on Tuesday. It is reported that the first of the Bharat Biotech vaccine 'Covaxin' has reached Delhi from Hyderabad. The first consignment of which has reached Delhi from Air India Flight AI 559 at 50 minutes past six of the clock. 3 boxes of Covaccine from Hyderabad arrived at Delhi Air Port, weighing 80.5 kilograms.

It has been revealed that the central government has ordered more than six crore doses of coronavirus vaccine from the Serum Institute of India (SII) and Bharat Biotech on Monday before the vaccination campaign beginning January 16 in the country. The total value of this order will be about Rs. 1,300 crore. According to information received, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that 1.1 crore doses from The Serum Institute of India and 55 lakh doses of Covaxin from Bharat Biotech have been procured. "55 lakh doses of covaxin are being procured from Bharat Biotech. Each of the 38.5 lakh doses will cost Rs. 295 (excluding tax) per dose and remaining 16.54 doses are for free."

On the prices of vaccines available all over the world, Bhushan said that the cost of Pfizer-Biontech vaccine comes to Rs. 1431 per dose. The price of Moderna vaccine supplements ranges from Rs. 2348 to Rs. 2715, Novawax vaccines 1114 rupees, Sputnik V vaccines 734 rupees and the vaccine manufactured by Johnson & Johnson is Rs. 734. "All vaccines except Pfizer vaccines can be kept at a temperature of two to eight degrees Celsius," he said. Pfizer's vaccine has to be kept at a temperature below minus 70 degrees Celsius. While continuing, he further said, "14 days after the vaccine is given, the effect will be seen. People are urged to adhere to proper treatment in respect of Covid-19. The situation of Covid-19 in the world is alarming, daily cases of infection in India are declining, but we cannot be complacent," the Union Health Secretary said.
