Srinagar: There is a ruckus on the liquor policy in Delhi. BJP and Congress are constantly surrounding the AAP government in Delhi. Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supremo and former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti have advised the Congress. Mehbooba Mufti has tweeted that today Congress does not need to join the BJP's propaganda, but unite the opposition. The PDP supremo also said that Congress does not understand this right now.
It is noteworthy that the CBI raided the residence of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Friday over allegations of corruption in Delhi's liquor policy, after which politics started in this case. The Delhi Congress, led by state president Anil Kumar, on Saturday protested outside the AAP office against the liquor policy. He protested by placing effigies of CM Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia on donkeys. Meanwhile, the resignation of Excise Minister Manish Sisodia was demanded.
Reacting to reports of the Congress opposing it, Mehbooba said, "Sadly, the Congress is not able to rise above the stakes of the party, as AAP is a strong opponent. Even after being a victim of ED, Congress does not understand and is joining the BJP's propaganda, at a time when agencies are being weaponised. Today, the opposition needs to unite.''
