German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz on Thursday introduced the new multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) 'V-Class Elite' in the Indian market. The company has introduced this by promoting its product in the premium automobile segment. Martin Schwank, MD and CEO of the company, states that this car will be an upgrade version of the 'V-Class Expression' and 'V-Class Exclusive' introduced earlier in India.
The price of this car (ex-showroom) has been fixed at Rs 1.10 crore. He said that this six-seater car conforms to the BS-6 standard. Along with this, it is equipped with features like climate control, 15 speakers, aerial windows. The car can also get a central console with a refrigerator compartment, paranormal sliding roof (optional) and easy pack tailgate. In this MPV, the company has given 17-inch alloy wheels, as well as the option of 18-inch alloy wheels can be found in it.
The V-Class Elite can be found with Steel Blue, Selenite Gray, Graphite Gray, Dark Obsidian Black Metallic, Cavenite Blue Metallic, Rock Crystal White Metallic and Brilliant Silver Metallic Color Options. Mercedes has also offered safety features like six airbags, extension assist, 360 degree camera with active parking assist. The V-Class has a 1950 cc engine, which gives 120 kW power at 6300 rpm and 380 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. This car accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 11 seconds.
Legendary actor of Hindi cinema Amitabh Bachchan also has this MPV. He bought this MPV only this year. The ex-showroom price of the V-Class Expression Long wheelbase is up to Rs 68.40 lakh and the top-end V-Class Exclusive Extra long wheelbase is priced at Rs 81.90 lakh. Its long wheelbase version gets 6 seats, while the extra long version can seat 7 people comfortably.
