On Sunday, Messi said, "Personal achievements come later. It would have been nice if we could have been successful in winning the title as well". On Sunday, Ansu Fati, Luis Suárez and Nélson Semedo also scored goals against Alaves on behalf of Barcelona. Barcelona remains second in the league after Real Madrid.
