Meteorological Department issues alert on heavy rain in 16 states including Himachal and Uttarakhand

On one side, after the heavy rains in Kerala, people still suffer from floods, but in other states of the country, rain has also been hit. In addition to Madhya Pradesh, heavy rain continues in Delhi-NCR and Rajasthan. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has announced the possibility of heavy rains in the next two-three days in 16 states of the country including Delhi-NCR.

According to the department, rain warnings have been issued on Friday in some areas of 16 states, including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, Friday rain in some areas of Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, western Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura Might be possible.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is expected on 24 and 25 August in Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat in Uttarakhand. Alert has been issued in this regard. At the same time, in Himachal Pradesh, the government has ordered the closure of educational institutions in the Kangra district amid fears of heavy rains. Especially the schools have been closed. Apart from this, all the schools have been announced to be closed in Pandhar subdivision of Mandi district.

Several areas of Delhi-NCR also received light rain even on Friday morning. There are thick clouds in the sky. In Delhi, there is a possibility of heavy rains till the evening. Earlier on Thursday morning, there were heavy rains in Delhi-NCR. With this, where people were relieved from the heat on one side, due to the rain, the roads were flooded and there was a long stance on the road going from Noida to Delhi. People were troubled until noon due to jam in many areas of Delhi.
