Vehicle manufacturer MG Motor India sold zero retail in the domestic market in April 2020. The company's showrooms are closed due to the nationwide lockdown. The carmaker started small-scale operation and manufacturing process at its plant in Halol in the last week of April 2020. The company hopes that production will increase in the month of May and is working on supporting local supply-chain.

In the current scenario, its main focus is on the new SOP, the health, welfare and training of its entire workforce, including dealer employees.

MG Motor sold more vehicles in February 2020 than in February 2020 amid the Corona transition. MG Motor India sold 1,518 units in March 2020, which was 10.32 percent more than in February 2020. This includes 116 units of MG ZS EV and 1,402 units of MG Hector. In February, the company sold a total of 1,376 units, which included 158 units of ZS EV and 1,218 units of MG Hector. At the same time, MG Motor had sold 3,130 units in the month of January.
