India's leading car manufacturer MG Motor India has sold 2012 vehicles in the month of June. The carmaker has seen fast-growing traction in the markets, selling 1867 units of the BS6 version of its product lines - MG Hector and 145 units of the MG ZS EV. The same, Rakesh Sidana, Director - Sales, MG Motor India stated, "Even though our sales performance in June 2020 was better than May this year, we are facing supply chain and lack of logistics due to many issues. Our teams are trying their best to overcome these challenges and we are waiting for the launch of Hector Plus in July 2020.

MG Motor India has started commercial production of its Hector Plus in the Indian market at its state-of-the-art Halol plant. Hector Plus was first introduced by the company at Auto Expo 2020 and it will be launched in July 2020. The launch of this car was postponed due to the lockdown due to the coronavirus epidemic. The Hector Plus will be based on the same Hector SUV and it will get quite a different look.

The company will give Captain seats in the middle row of Hector Plus. The third row, this vehicle will now be available with a 6 or 7 seater layout. Talking about the front looks, this SUV will get very few changes which are seen on the chrome border near its grille and it will be replaced with a glossy black grille. The company will provide new LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) in it. Talking about the headlamps, it will also be updated and black cladding will be removed. New front and rear bumpers, new rear taillight design and revised skid plates will be given.
