The Hector SUV, MG Motor's best-selling model in India, will shortly be introduced in a new generation. The automaker has released the first official image of the interior of the Hector 2022 facelift SUV ahead of its introduction. There are various improvements to the new Hector's cabin over the previous generation vehicle, which also has a new infotainment screen. The SUV is anticipated to debut during the holiday season by MG Motor. Since the Hector SUV's introduction in India in 2019, this is the first significant update it has gotten.

MG Motor previously revealed a sneak peek of the updated infotainment system found within the Hector SUV. The largest touchscreen unit in any automobile in its segment will be the 14-inch model. The technology is backed by MG's Next-Gen i-SMART. Apple CarPlay and wifi Android Auto are also supported.

The new Hector's cabin receives a dual-tone makeover in Oak White and Black color with a brushed metal finish. The AC vents have chrome trim, and the upholstery is covered in leather. Fully digital gauges are displayed on the 7-inch cluster.

Earlier, MG Motor unveiled the updated grille and new front face of the Hector 2022 SUV. The grille, which MG Motor refers to as the Argyle-Inspired Diamond Mesh Grille, is now more imposing. Both of the LED headlights appear to be getting smaller and sleeker.

Recently, Indian roads were used for testing by the MG Hector SUV. There will be a number of exterior stylistic cues that resemble those on the Astor SUV. For instance, the SUV's rear part resembles the company's most recent mid-size SUV. The new Hector SUV's taillights may also receive a facelift.

A 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine with 141 bhp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque and a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 168 bhp are set to power the MG Hector 2022 facelift SUV. The 1.5-liter mild-hybrid engine from MG Motor is also anticipated to continue in the next-generation Hector SUV. The 2022 MG Hector SUV will compete in the mid-size SUV sector against vehicles like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos as well as the two forthcoming models Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara when it is released.
