USA: What occurs when OpenAI's GPT-3.5 features are added to Microsoft Teams? Because Microsoft has announced Teams Premium, which includes GPT-3.5-powered features, we don't need to speculate about that. Built on GPT-3.5, ChatGPT is a well-known chatbot that has become extremely popular worldwide. Microsoft recently revealed plans to integrate ChatGPT with its Bing search engine.

With ChatGPT, OpenAI has established itself as the leader in the AI race. Because of this, Microsoft recently made a multi-billion dollar investment to strengthen its relationship with the business. The tech juggernaut wants to incorporate OpenAI's AI capabilities into every one of its products. It will gain a significant advantage over competitors like Google, which is still developing its AI capabilities, as a result.

'Intelligent recap' is one of Teams Premium's most important upgrades. Even if someone misses the meeting, it uses GPT-3.5 to automatically generate meeting notes, suggested tasks, and personalised highlights. The meeting is divided into chapters in an intelligent recap, making it simple for people to select the chapters that apply to them. This will make it simpler to catch up on meetings.

Personalized timeline markers are an additional aspect of intelligent recap. Users can quickly catch up on what they missed by seeing when they entered or left a meeting. Soon, it will display when a screen was shared and when a person's name was mentioned. There are currently chapters and timeline markers produced by AI. Microsoft states that additional ones will be accessible in the second quarter of 2023.

Microsoft also intends to upgrade intelligent recap to include speaker timeline markers. It will display who made their voice heard during a meeting and when. Additionally, the company has added AI-generated live translations for Teams Premium in 40 spoken languages. For others in the meeting to benefit from this feature, only the meeting organiser needs the premium version.

Live translation used to be a standard feature of Teams. The business has now hidden it behind a paywall. Together Mode scenes with custom organisation and a number of virtual appointment features are now available only to Premium subscribers.

In order to help businesses, Microsft also revealed a sneak peek of an AI-powered experience in Viva Sales. Viva Sales can generate recommended emails for various scenarios using GPT-3.5 and Azure OpenAI Services. This includes auto-generating preformatted email responses with product descriptions, proposals, and deadlines and reminding sellers to follow up with potential clients.
