Microsoft has introduced a new premium version of its AI-powered tool, Copilot Pro, priced at $20 per user per month. The goal is to cater to users' content creation needs across various platforms and devices. Subscribers of Microsoft 365 Personal and Family can utilize Copilot Pro in applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote on PC, Mac, and iPad.

Copilot Pro users will have access to OpenAI's GPT-4 Turbo model and the ability to switch between AI models based on their preferences, as per Microsoft's official statement. The update also includes AI-enabled image creation through the Designer product and the capability to build Copilot GPTs.

In addition to this premium offering, the Copilot app will now be available for free to Android and iOS users, as well as small and medium businesses.

Microsoft emphasized its commitment to empowering individuals and organizations globally, citing more than 5 billion chats and images processed by Copilot to date. The company stated that the feedback received from users is valuable for ongoing improvements.

However, Microsoft and OpenAI are currently facing legal challenges, with lawsuits alleging that their AI products were trained on unlawfully scraped copyrighted content and media. The legal proceedings are ongoing.
