Muscat: Microsoft is highlighting the transformative power of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the 33rd COMEX Global Technology Show, currently being held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. This event showcases how cutting-edge AI technologies can boost productivity for both individuals and businesses.

As the official Innovation Partner and a major sponsor of COMEX 2024, Microsoft is presenting its newest AI solutions designed to help professionals in Oman and the wider region innovate and excel in an AI-driven world. Microsoft is joined by seven partners: BI-Technologies, Netways Solutions, CYPHER Learning, International Information Technology Co (IITC), Inspira Enterprise, PwC, and Novatiq. Their exhibit includes a demo zone for partner solutions, an executive boardroom, a networking café, and an area dedicated to showcasing Microsoft's latest technological advancements.

Sheikh Saif Hilal Al Hosni, Country Manager for Microsoft Oman and Bahrain, emphasized the importance of adopting AI solutions like Microsoft Copilot to manage increasing workloads and drive innovation. “Oman is experiencing a new era of work that requires game-changing AI tools. Organizations are using Generative AI to reduce time spent on repetitive tasks and focus more on creative and fulfilling work. Microsoft is dedicated to helping businesses of all sizes achieve this through our range of productivity solutions, including Copilot for Microsoft 365, which we are demonstrating at COMEX.”

At the event, experts are showcasing Copilot for Microsoft 365, an AI assistant that combines Large Language Models (LLMs) with business data and Microsoft 365 apps to boost creativity, productivity, and skill development. Copilot integrates with apps like Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel, helping users create detailed reports, attractive presentations, and manage daily tasks such as meeting summaries and scheduling. This enhances collaboration and efficiency within organizations. Microsoft has also extended Copilot support to 16 additional languages, including Arabic, to better serve professionals in the region.

Research from Microsoft indicates significant performance improvements among users of Copilot for Microsoft 365, with 70% reporting increased productivity and 68% noting better work quality. Microsoft's ongoing enhancement of its productivity tools is driven by a strong commitment to responsible AI development, guided by their Responsible AI Principles, which ensure ethical and effective AI solutions for their customers.
