PM Modi expresses grief as Padma Shri awardee Milina Salvini passes away.

The famous Kathakali dancer Milena Salvini has passed away. On January 26th, Padma Shri awardee Milina Salvini said goodbye to the world. In such a situation, since her death, people on social media have been paying tribute to her. The list of those who paid tribute to Milina Salvini also includes the prime minister of the country, Narendra Modi.  PM Modi has also tweeted his condolences remembering Salvini. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled Milina's efforts to popularize this mode of dance in France and tweeted.

PM Modi tweeted and wrote in the caption, "Milina Salvini will be remembered for her attachment to Indian culture. She made several attempts to make Kathakali more popular throughout France. I am deeply saddened by her demise. My thoughts are with her family and well-wishers. May God give peace to her soul. Apart from him, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has also tweeted his grief over the demise of Milina Salvini.

Venkaiah Naidu wrote in his tweet, "Saddened to learn about the passing away of Ms Milina Salvini. The exponent of Kathakali, Ms Milina Salvini, played a key role in promoting Indian dance and music for more than four decades in France. My deepest condolences to her family members. May her soul rest in peace."  Milina Salvini was born in Italy. She was a citizen of France. Salvini's significant contribution in acting, and arts had given her the Padma Shri award in the year 2019 by the Government of India.
