Mumbai: Milkha Singh, india's greatest athlete known as the Flying Sikh, has left us forever. Milkha Singh's health deteriorated after he was infected with corona and he lost the battle with the epidemic. From the sports world to Bollywood and across the country, there has been a wave of grief after the news of Milkha Singh's demise. Farhan Akhtar who played his role in his biopic 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' has also paid tribute to Milkha Singh.

Farhan Akhtar's film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag was very special for flying Sikhs and their fans. Director Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra's film depicted the life of Milkha Singh, the struggles of his life and his coming into the sports world and winning a gold medal for Independent India. Milkha Singh had charged Rs 1 when his film was made at that time. But a special twist was also added to it.

Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra's team wanted to give Milkha Singh something special and memorable. In that case, he gave Milkha Singh a one rupee note fee printed in 1958. It was only in 1958 that Milkha Singh won her first gold medal at the Commonwealth Games for Independent India.
