Madhya Pradesh: Shahdol police have taken strong action and caught large amount of cannabis. The smugglers were hiding the hemp among the vegetables. The smugglers broke the barricade imposed by the police for absconding, fearing that the police might catch hold of them. After this, the police chased them for about 200 km with great difficulty and took the criminals into custody with a consignment of cannabis.
According to the police, many well-known people are suspected to be involved in the chain smuggling of cannabis in all the cities of MP and UP. Hemp is cultivated in Naxal-affected areas of Odisha. From here, the consignment very cleverly reaches MP and many cities of UP through a strong network.
The Shahdol Superintendent of Police Satyendra Kumar Shukla received a consignment of cannabis from Shahdol. Satyendra Kumar Shukla said in his statement that this time the hemp was being hidden between the vegetables. After much effort, the police caught this vehicle. Police inspection revealed that 10 quintals of cannabis were being smuggled. The cost of this hemp is about one and a half crores. According to police, two criminals in a luxury car were following a vehicle loaded with cannabis. But as soon as the police came into action, the accused broke the barricade and escaped. The police is now investigating the entire case.
